Yuchun Huang was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
At the age of two, she relocated to Melbourne, Australia with her family and lived there for three years.
She received her first piano lesson in a local Melbournian music class and has not quit playing since.
She returned to Taiwan in 1992 with her family. Here, she wrote her first composition for piano in 1997 and went to Music High School in Kaohsiung for six years. She finished high school early and got accepted to the National Taipei University of Arts, where she studied composition with Prof. Hwang Long Pan.
In order to pursue her musical dreams further, she decided to continue her composition studies in Vienna and moved to the "Capital of Music". She commenced her study at University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna in the year 2007 and followed her academic footstep with Prof.Axel Seidelmann.
She passed the first level diploma in 2009 successfully and entered second level major in Media Composition and Composition with Prof.Reinhard Karger, Jazz Theory and Arrangement with Christian Mühlbacher.
In 2013 she received her master's degree with distinction.
Her compositions have been performed in various concert halls and countries such as Taiwan, Austria, Germany, USA and Australia.
